Impact Statement (How I Change Cambodia)

I’m here to talk about my impact, something that I keep improving myself each year. People are born different. Some are born to challenge themselves with something that they are afraid of. While some are just born to love doing something that they already know how to do and never really want to get out of their comfort zone. For me, I can be both. I am one of those students who does not really like studying about entrepreneurship because I never got a chance to know what entrepreneurship is or study about the economy at the government school when I was young. Therefore, it is hard to build the endearment and the effort toward this subject.

To me, the impact is something that you do to develop yourself and the world that you live in. This year, I have come to understand that impact is not always about success. Sometimes, the impact can be about getting out of your comfort zone. Even if you are trying to do something that you are afraid of, I strongly believe that it also creates an impact. 

This academic year was really challenging because we have to learn remotely due to the Covid pandemic which led me to create a better reflection about myself of who I really am and what I need to improve in order to create a better version of myself. I have come to know myself better that there are actually two sides of me that live in the same body when it comes to making a decision or doing something. It is like a devil and angel staying on my shoulder. One is trying to encourage me to get out of my comfort zone by doing something that I am afraid of, while the other one is trying to discourage me because I am not good at that, so do not do it. But I always choose to do it so I could step out of my comfort zone, overcome adversity and prove to the other side of me that I can do it. I can step out of my comfort zone and that’s how winning is done.    

This year was a special and amazing year. It is the year that most of us had been waiting for, which is the Business Model Competition to be introduced to us. In September of 2020, Keith Simpson introduced the BMC competition to Liger students a couple of weeks after we returned to school. I was really excited about it and I assume everybody else felt the same as me. But at the same time, I felt like I did not want to join this competition this year yet. I was not ready and scared about it for some reason. I really wanted to do it and to get experience from it. I want to step out of my comfort zone and do something that I am afraid of. Simultaneously, my other side of me tried to discourage me and showed the fact that I don’t like entrepreneurship. Then I was like “you know what? I’m gonna shoot my shot. I’m going to join this competition.” I tried so hard to push myself to join because I thought that if I am not ready this year, I will not be ready in the next year too so I must join to get experience. It was really difficult at first because I did not have a team or even an idea yet. But having a great facilitator like Keith, everything would be fine. Soon after, I got into a team with 2 of my classmates which were Vuochnea and Lyhour. This made me feel better because I thought that I was going to do it alone.  

BMC was almost like a job that we were doing while studying. This reflects on me to understand how hard life is during this pandemic. How people are doing their job in this hard time. We were really struggling in doing and developing our business ideas and plans. It was a pandemic so we could not get out of the building and do our business survey. The only way was to do it through phone or video call. But for me, it was not as easy as it sounded. It was really difficult as I don’t really like doing all of that stuff. But I gotta do it. I need to improve myself. 

In addition to that event, I have come to learn how hard it is in order to get successful as an entrepreneur. We came to a point where we were stuck in thinking of a way to develop our idea. Our idea was not true as we validated so we have to pivot it into a new idea. It was hard but we did not give it up there. We tried our best and shared our thoughts and ideas until we had a new idea but still solved our initial problem. This also taught me not to give up because sometimes, when you give up too early while you have not put 100% effort into it yet, you are just going to regret it forever. 

By joining this competition, it helped me to reflect on myself on why I need to step out of my comfort zone more and how hard it is for me to make decisions because whenever I make any decisions, there are always two sides of me. One trying to encourage me to join this competition while the other, just trying to discourage me not to do it. But I will always choose to do it because I want to prove to the other side that I can do it even if I do not like it or do not know how to do it. This is really important by trying to prove the other side wrong because it is something that keeps motivating me to do it even more. This is why I have come to know that getting out of my comfort zone can also give an impact on me which leads me to create a better reflection of myself of what I like to do. Sometimes, the thing that you don’t like to do can become something that you love to do. Something that you thought you don’t like, can become your passion. You would never know until you figure it out by yourself. 

After discovering this truth about myself by making the decision to join this competition, I understand myself better. In the future, it will happen again just like the decision that I was making. I know that it is going to be two sides of me, one trying to encourage me while the other one trying to discourage me. But I’m never going to listen to the one that discourages me. I want to show it and prove that I can do it. It is really important to prove the other side wrong because we are worthy and born powerful and unique therefore, we have to prove to them that we are good for it. In order to do that, we will have to step out of our comfort zone and challenge ourselves more with what we are afraid of. 

I hope this will convey a message to you that no matter what other people say about you or look down on you, you must have to believe in yourself. That is how winning is done. Only you know your limit and no one else knows it. Try to step out of your comfort zone to gain more experience, maybe those things that you are afraid to do can be something that you like. You just have to try. Try harder and if people look down on you, you gotta show them how great you are.  (“I Will Show You How Great I Am!” – Muhammad Ali)  

Life isn’t easy, and you have to fight for it, but if you don’t, you’ll be stuck there forever. You must find a way to escape. If your previous attempt fails, you must try again and again until you reach the peak of the mountain, because that is how you win. You’re not going to give up simply because your first try failed. It is not how many times you fail that matters, but how you keep going and find a way to succeed.

Physic – Superhero Project

At the end of our last round of physics class, we got a small individual project to work on. We have learned so much about physics this year such as kinematics, Newton’s laws of motion, momentum, static electricity, and many more. So our facilitator gave us this small little project for us to do called the “Superhero project” where we analyze scenes from movies or pick a superhero to explain the physics behind those scenes or their power. In this project, I picked something called “superhero landing” to explain. 

If you watch superhero movies, anime, or playing games, you might already see these scenes where the superhero or even the villain does this “three-point landing” or we can call it “superhero landing” to make it fancier. But what is superhero landing? Superhero landing is when the character jumps from a high place and hits the ground with one foot, one knee, and either one of their hand or fist. The character does this to make it look cool and impress their audiences. And we as the audience would be like “OH MY GAWD! I LOVE THIS SCENE.” This superhero landing scene looks really cool but in real life, it is really dangerous. You might hurt yourself if you try to do it. 

In order to explain this concept, we need to talk about the impact force. Impact force is a force that delivers a  high impact in a short period of time when two things collide with each other. If we fall on this planet, the force has to apply to us by the surface of the earth or whatever comes in between us and the earth. To make it more clear, we have to use Newton’s second law about the momentum where the Force equals the change in momentum over the change in time. This equation describes how quickly something’s momentum changes. Momentum is mass times velocity. So, just before the contact, the more something’s momentum is about to change, which means to move from some velocity to zero, the more force it will take. That is why something that has a tiny mass like an ant, would be fine after jumping from a high place and hit the ground while something that has a greater mass like a human, wouldn’t be fine after hitting the ground from a high place. Because we can’t change our mass or the earth’s gravity, therefore, the simplest thing we can do to minimize the impact on us during landing is to increase the time it takes for our momentum to come to a full stop. Increasing the time means decreasing the force. And that is why we used to bend our knees or roll to the front or side as we see in parkour/freerunning videos, or experienced by ourselves. By doing this, it can help to transfer the downwards momentum into forwards momentum which can be safer than doing the superhero landing. But if we try to do the superhero landing after jumping from a high place, it will increase the risk of breaking our bones because there is a lot of force acting on us and if the force is around 4000 Newtons or higher, it will immediately break our bones (human femur: the only bone in the thigh and the longest bone in the body). There is also a method known as a “parachute landing fall” in which you don’t even stand up. You land, bend down, and start rolling over the ground. By doing this, it can help to extend the distance over which you stop even more.

To sum up, superhero landing is when the character jumps from a high place and hits the ground with one foot, one knee, and either one of their hand or fist. The character does this to make it look cool but in real life, it’s going to be a bad idea and it can damage you too. Based on Newton’s second law about the momentum where the Force equals the change in momentum over the change in time, this means that the more quickly all that momentum comes to a complete, the more force it is going to take. We can’t change our mass nor the earth’s gravity so the best thing for us to do to reduce the force is to extend the time it takes for your momentum to come to a complete stop. And that is why we used to bend our knees or roll to the front or side to extend the time. But if you try to do the superhero landing after jumping from a high place, it will increase the risk of breaking your bone. So do not try the superhero landing. You’re just going to hurt yourself.

Healthy Community Engagement 

For this last round of my grade 10 years, I got into an exploration called “Healthy community Engagement”. Since we are in quarantine, we could not go outside and we just stayed home. But staying at home for too long, you just gonna increase your time on your screens, feeling bored and unproductive. That is why we created this exploration by trying to engage the community during this difficult time, to keep them healthy both mentally and physically, and enable everyone to connect with others, and generally make them feel motivated. In this exploration, our team tried to do some research on some activities to play that help us both mentally and physically. After we gathered a bunch of activities, each of us had to film ourselves playing those activities with our family members or friends. After that, we shared those videos with our Liger community in a form of encouraging them to enjoy those activities like us. We were having so much fun with our family members and friends while playing these activities. It really helped individuals to spend less time on screens but to spend more time with our friends and family. Some games even help us to exercise as well. In conclusion, I really enjoyed being a part of this project. It really helped me and my family and friends to feel connected in this hard time of the pandemic. I hope it will inspire everyone to do some activities to stay connected rather than just spending time on screens for too much.

ថ្នាក់ខ្មែរនៅក្នុងជុំសិក្សានេះ លោកបានឲ្យសិស្សានុសិស្សទាំងអស់ធ្វើការស្រាវជ្រាវអំពី ប្រធានបទមួយ ហើយយកមកធ្វើបទបង្ហាញ ទៅកាន់លោកគ្រូ និងមិត្តរួមថ្នាក់។ ប៉ុន្តែ ការធ្វើបទបង្ហាញមួយនេះ នឹងធ្វើជារបៀប TedTalk ដោយមានស្លាយសម្រាប់បញ្ចាំង និងធ្វើវាឲ្យដូចជាការនិយាយរឿងមួយអីច្ចឹង។ នៅក្នុងការធ្វើបទបង្ហាញមួយនេះ ខ្ញុំបាន យកប្រធានបទ ទេវកថារបស់ប្រទេសក្រិក មកនិយាយ។ ខាងក្រោមនេះ គឺជាព័ត៌មាន ខ្លះទាក់ទងទៅនឹងប្រធានបទមួយនេះ ដែរខ្ញុំបានលើកឡើងមកនិយាយក្នុងថ្នាក់។

សង្គ្រៀមរវាងអទិទេពហ្ស៊ូស (Zeus) និងអទិទេពក្រូនឹស​​ ​(Cronus) បានកើតឡើងរហូតទៅដល់ ១០ ឆ្នាំ។ ដោយការជួយពីសាយក្លប (Cyclopes) ហិកាថងខឺរីស (Hecatonchires) និងអទិទេពផ្សេងៗទៀត អទិទេពហ្ស៊ូស (Zeus) បានទទួលជ័យជំនះលើការដណ្តើមដំណែងពីឪពុករបស់ខ្លួន។ ចាប់ពីពេលនោះមក ហ្ស៊ូស (Zeus) ក៏បាន ក្លាយជាស្តេចនៃអទិទេព និងទេពធីតាទាំងឡាយ​ ហើយក៏ជាអទិទេពមួយដែរដំណាងឲ្យ មេឃ ភ្លៀង ផ្គរ និងរន្ទះ។ អទិទេពផូសាយដិន​​ (Poseidon) វិញក៏ក្លាយជាអទិទេពដំណាងឲ្យ សមុទ្រនានា និងអទិទេពហេដីស (Hades) ក្លាយជាអ្នកគ្រប់គ្រង ឋាននរក។ ជាមួយគ្នានេះដែរ អទិទេពហ្ស៊ូស (Zeus) ក៏បានស្រឡាញ់គ្នាជាមួយ ទេពធីតា ហេរា (Hera) ហើយ ក្រោយមកទេពធីតាហេរា (Hera) ក៏ក្លាយទៅជាម្ចាស់ក្សត្រីនៃអទិទេព និងទេពធីតា ទាំងឡាយ។  អទិទេពហ្ស៊ូស (Zeus) ទេពធីតាឌីមីរឺ (Demeter) ទេពធីតាហេរា (Hera) និងអទិទេព ផូសាយដិន​​ (Poseidon) និងកូនរបស់អទិទេពហ្ស៊ូស (Zeus) ចំនួន ៨ រូបទៀត ត្រូវបានក្លាយជា The Olympian Gods ដែរជាជំនាន់ អទិទេព និងទេពធីតាចុងក្រោយបង្អោះ នៃទេវកថា របស់ប្រទេស ក្រិក។ ចំណែកឯ ហេដីស (Hades) ក៏បានក្លាយជា អ្នកគ្រប់គ្រងនៅ ឋាននរក។ ជាដើមចមនៃឈ្មោះ Olympian នោះ ដោយសារតែ អទិទេព និងទេពធីតា​ទាំង ១២ រូបនេះបានយក​ ភ្នំ Olympic ជាកន្លែងស្នាក់នៅ។ Olympic គឺជាភ្នំមួយស្ថិតនៅក្នុងប្រទេស ក្រិក។ អទិទេព និងទេពធីតា​ ទាំង ១២ រូបដែរជា The Olympian Gods នោះមានដូចជា៖ 

  • Aphrodite – ទេពធីតានៃសម្រស់ និងសេចក្តីស្រឡាញ់
  • Athena –  ទេពធីតានៃប្រាជ្ញា និងក្បួនសឹកសង្គ្រៀម
  • Artemis – ទេពធីតានៃសត្វព្រៃ ការបរបាញ់ និងដំណាងឲ្យ ព្រះច័ន្ទ
  • Ares -​ អទិទេពនៃភាពក្លាហាន និងការធ្វើសឹកសង្គ្រៀម
  • Apollo – អទិទេពនៃការព្យាបាល និងឱសថ លេងតន្រ្តី និងដំណាងឲ្យព្រះអាទិត្យ
  • Demeter – ទេពធីតាដំណាងឲ្យការដាំដំណាំ និងកសិកម្មនានា

Cambodia Economy Book Writing

For this round 4, I got to continue my work from where I left on in this project from the last round, Cambodia Economy Book planning. Our book is divided into different sectors based on the Cambodian economy. In each sector, there are different sections too. We divided our members into teams to work on each sector. I got to work in the Public sector, one of the sectors that talk about government revenue and expenditure, how did the government get the money, what does the government spend that money on, and the government debt. This round, we also got to meet with different experts that work in each sector to ask them for specific information for our book. By the end of this round, I got to learn more about the Cambodian Economy specifically toward my sector that I worked on, the Public sector.

English  Literacy Module 3 (Just Mercy)

In this round 3 of the academic year, we learned about justice in our English literacy class with the essential questions: 

  • Who is responsible for improving society?
  • If there are multiple sides to every story, how do I know what is true? 

We have to read a book called “Just Mercy” by Bryan Stevenson in order to discuss these essential questions. For our skills on this project, we aim to focus on rhetorical analysis (triangle & situation). This rhetorical analysis has 3 techniques which are:  

  • Patho, techniques appeal to emotion
  • Logos, techniques appeal to logic
  • Etho, techniques to build credibility

Just Mercy is a book that is based on real events which talked about how Bryan Stevenson helped to bring justice to the poor, the wrongly condemned, women and children. In this book, it was mainly focused on how he helped Walter McMillian. Walter McMillian was convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of a young white woman in Monroeville, Alabama. But he was wrongly convicted so Bryan and his team tried their best to help find justice for him. 

After learning about this, I started to make more awareness toward this topic. Some people are truly wrongly convicted and it is really unfair for them. They deserve justice too. At the end of this topic, we also got to do a debate on “The Death Penalty is applied unfairly and should not be used”. It helped us to gather information and learned about the death penalty. To be honest, I am still in the middle of this topic whether it should be eliminated or not. But if that person kills another person, he or she must pay back their life to be executed. But before executed, we must have to prove that person is the right one and had committed murder to another person. That way, I might agree more with that.

Cambodia Economy Book Planning 

5 years ago, our former senior created the Cambodian Economy book. It was so successful. So now, it is time to create volume 2 after 5 years but this time, it will be created by us. Last round, a group of students were planning the structure of how this book will look like or what the contents will be contained in this book. Also, they started to research and gather a lot of resources. But this round 3, we just continue from where they left on which was making some changes to the structure as the whole group and checking the resources whether it is appropriate or not. We also started with the draft writing and searched for more information if needed. Based on this experience, at first, I was a little bit scared because I knew almost nothing about the economy. But after being a part of this project, I got to understand the Cambodian economy better and am looking forward to learning and being a part of this project more.

Cambodian University Support Platform

When it comes to the word university, I feel like my mind is a mess because I don’t even know what to do at the university. I don’t have any actual goals or what I’m passionate about yet. I still need more time to decide on that. And I know that not only me is facing this problem right now. Many students all around the world are stressing about it. After they finish high school they will be like “What’s next?” It’s hard for them to understand what is university or what will we do at the university. So this is why one of our alumni came up with an idea to create a university support platform that provides all of those resources that they need to know about university. It is called “Cambodian University Support Platform” or “CUSP”. Our goal is to create a platform that will provide helpful resources to high school students when considering their career and life path after they graduate from high school. In this platform, there will be a lot of content that we are willing to provide to them such as how to apply for university? What is the major? And many other more resources. ផ្សារភ្ជាប់ទៅនឹង ប្រធានបទដែលរៀបរាប់អំពីបញ្ហាគ្រួសារ​ ដែរធ្វើការប៉ះពាល់ទៅដល់សេចក្តី ស្នេហា របស់តួអង្គទាំងបួនរូបនេះ យើងក៏មានបញ្ហាមួយទៀតដែលយើងគួរតែធ្វើការប្រៀបធៀបដែរ។ នៅក្នុង អក្សរ​ សិល្ប៍ទាំងពីរខាងលើ វាបានសបញ្ចាក់ឲ្យយើងឃើញថា តួអង្គទាវ ក៏ដូចជា ជូលីអែតគឺសុតតែត្រូវបានទទួលនូវ ការបង្ខិតបង្ខំពីឪពុកម្តាយរបស់ខ្លួន ឲ្យទៅរៀបការជាមួយមនុស្សទាំងដែលខ្លួនមិនបានស្រឡាញ់ផង។ តួយ៉ាង នៅក្នុង រឿង ទំុទាវ ទាវក៏ត្រូវបានទទួលរកនូវការបង្ខិតបង្ខំពីម្តាយរបស់ខ្លួន ឲ្យទៅរៀបការជាមួយមឿនងួន​​ ដែល ជាមនុស្សមានទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិទៅវិញ។ រួមជាមួយគ្នានេះដែរ រឿងរ៉ូមីអូ និងជូលីអែត ជូលីអែតក៏ត្រូវបានមានការ បង្ខិតបង្ខំពី​ឪពុក​ ម្តាយរបស់ខ្លួនដែរ។ ជាឧទាហរណ៍ ជូលីអែតត្រូវបង្ខឲ្យទៅរៀបការជាមួយ Paris ដែលត្រូវជា សាច់ញាតិរបស់ស្តេចទៅវិញ។ 

គួរឲ្យកត់សម្គាល់ផងដែរថា នៅក្នុងអក្សរសិល្ប៍ទាំងពីរនេះ កវីទាំងពីររូបបានតាក់តែងរឿងទាំងពីរនេះ ឡើង ដោយឲ្យតួអង្គសំខាន់ៗ ទាំងបួននាក់ស្លាប់យ៉ាងអណោចអធម។ ​នៅក្នុងអក្សរសិល្ប៍ រឿងទំុទាវ ទំុត្រូវបាន ក្រុមអាមាត្យរបស់ អរជូន ដេញតាមសម្លាប់យ៉ាងរន្ធត់ក្រៃលែង។ ទំុត្រូវបានគេសម្លាប់ដោយសារ តែគេចោទថា ចង់មានបំណងបំបែកបំបាក់ កម្មវិធីរៀបអាពាហ៍ពិពាហ៍របស់មឺុនងួន ជាមួយនឹងនាងទាវ ដែលទាវក្លាយជាភរិយា របស់​ ខ្លួន​រួចទៅហើយ។ ដូច្នេះហើយក៏ត្រូវបានគេ ដេញសម្លាប់ ហើយក៏ត្រូវបានបង់ជីវិតនៅក្រោមដើមពោធិ៍ យ៉ាងកំសត់។ គ្រាន់តែដឹងដំណឹងនេះភ្លាម ទាវក៏បាន​ រត់ទៅតាមស្វែងរកមើល ព្រោះមិនជឿនូវសម្តីគេប្រាប់។ លុះត្រាតែ ទៅដល់ក្រោមដើមពោធិ៍នោះហើយ ទាវ ពិតជារន្ធត់ចិត្តឥតក្រៃលែង។ ភ្លាមៗនោះ ទាវក៏បានដក កំបិតស្នៀត ដែលគេយកទៅចាក់សម្លាប់ទំុនោះ មកចាក់ខ្លួនឯកដើម្បីបញ្ចប់ជីវិតក្នុងគ្រានោះតែម្តងទៅ។ ស្រដៀងនឹងនេះដែរ នៅក្នុងអក្សរសិល្ប៍ របស់លោក William Shakespere គាត់បានបញ្ចប់សាច់រឿងដោយ បញ្ចប់ជីវិតរបស់តួអង្គទាំងពីរដែរ។ រ៉ូមីអូក៏បាន លេបថ្នាំសម្លាប់ខ្លួន ដោយគិតថាជូលីអែត ត្រូវបានបាត់បង់ អាយុជីវិតរួចមកហើយ។ ប៉ុន្តែ ជូលីអែតគ្រាន់តែលេប ថ្នាំ​ដើម្បីធ្វើពុតជាស្លាប់តែប៉ុណ្ណោះ ដោយសារតែមិនចង់ ទៅរៀបការជាមួយ Paris. ក្រោយពីបានងើប​​ ពីការបាត់បង់ ស្មារតីអស់ជិតរយៈពេល ២៤ម៉ោងនោះ ទេពកញ្ញា ក៏បានឃើញស្វាមីរបស់ខ្លួន គឺរ៉ូមីអូ ត្រូវបានបាត់បង់អាយុ ជីវិត ជិតខ្លួនធីតាបាត់ទៅហើយ។  ភ្លាមៗនោះ ជូលីអែតមានសេចក្តីខ្លោចចិត្តយ៉ាងខ្លាំង ក៏យកកូនកាំបិតស្នៀតពីចង្កេះរបស់រ៉ូមីអូ យក មកបញ្ចប់សង្ខារបស់ខ្លួន នាពេលនោះទៅ។ ជាការពិតណាស់​ អក្សរសិល្ប៍ទាំងពីរនេះបានឆ្លុះបញ្ចាំងឲ្យយើង ឃើញថា វាមានកន្លែងជា ច្រើនដែលស្មេរទាំងពីររូបនេះបាននិពន្ធឡើងដូចគ្នា ជាមួយគោលគំនិតតែមួយ គឹចង់ ដោះស្រាយបញ្ហា និងផ្លាស់ ប្តួរផ្នត់គំនិតចាស់ៗបុរាណ។ កវីទាំងពីររូបនេះ គឺចង់ផ្លាស់ប្តូរផ្នត់គំនិតដែលបាន ពោលថា «នំមិនធំជាងនាឡិ»។  «នំមិនធំជាងនាឡិ» គឺមានន័យថា ទោះនំចំណីសម្រាប់បរិភោគ មិនថាជានំអ្វី ឫមាន ឱជារសឆ្ងាញ់យ៉ាងណា ក៏ដោយ ក៏នូវតែមិនមានទំហំធំជាងនាឡិដែររជារង្វាស់រង្វាល់នំដែរ។ ប៉ុន្តែបើយើងប្រៀប​ ធៀបជាមួយនឹងមនុស្ស លោកវិញ គឺមានន័យថាឪពុកម្តាយគឺជាអ្នកជ្រើសរើសគូរស្រករ​សម្រាប់កូនរបស់ខ្លួន។ ផ្ទុយទៅវិញ កវីទាំងពីររូប នេះ គឺចង់ផ្លាស់ប្តូរផ្នត់គំនិតមួយនេះដោយចង់ឲ្យកូនចៅជាអ្នករើសគូរស្រករសម្រាប់ខ្លួន ឯងទៅវិញ។ 

បើយើងបង្វិលទៅរក​មើល អក្សរសិល្ប៍ទាំងពីរនេះឡើងវិញម្តងទៀង យើងឃើញថា វាក៏មានសភាពខុស គ្នារវាងរឿងទាំងពីរនេះ តែក៏មិនមានច្រើននោះដែរ។ ជាទឡ្ហីករណ៍ សេចក្តីស្រឡាញ់របស់ទំុ និងទាវគឺជាសេចក្តី ស្នេហា មិនមែនជាការលួចលាក់នោះទេ។ មិនត្រឹមតែប៉ុណ្ណោះ ការរៀប​​អាពាហ៍ពិពាហ៍ របស់គេទាំងពីររូប ក៏ត្រូវ បានការដឹងលឺពីស្តេចខ្មែរដែរគឺ ព្រះនាម ស្តេចរាមាជើងព្រៃ។ ប៉ុន្តែដោយសារ តែសេចក្តីលោភលន់របស់យាយ ផាន់ដែរជាម្តាយរបស់ទាវ គាត់ក៏បានរៀបចំពិធីមង្គលការរបស់ ទាវម្តងទៀតតែលើនេះជាមួយនឹង មឺុនងួនទៅ​​​ វិញ។​​ ផ្ទុយទៅវិញ ចំពោះរឿង រ៉ូមីអូ និងជូលីអែតវិញ សេចក្តីស្នេហារបស់គេទាំងនាក់វិញ គឺជាសេចក្តីស្នេហា​ ដែរ មានការលួចលាក់ពី ឪពុកម្តាយរៀងៗខ្លួន។ គ្រាន់តែបានជួបគ្នាតែម្តងគត់តែប៉ុណ្ណោះក៏មានគម្រោងចង់ រៀប ​​អាពាហ៍ពិពាហ៍ជាមួយនឹងគ្នារួចទៅហើយ។ ជាការពិតណាស់ ការជួបគ្នាជាលើកទីពីរ គឺជាពេលវេលាដែល គេ​ ទាំងពីររូបបានរៀបការជាមួយគ្នាដោយមិនបានមានការដឹងលឺ ពីឪពុកម្តាយនោះទេ។ លុះត្រាតែជីវិតរបស់គេ ទាំងពីរត្រូវបានបាត់បង់ហើយ ទើបឪពុកម្តាយរៀងៗខ្លួន បានជ្រាបដំណឹងអំពីសេចក្តីស្នេហារបស់គេទាំងពីររូប។ អាស្រ័យហេតុនេះ វាអាចសបញ្ចាក់ឲ្យយើងឃើញថា អក្សរសិល្ប៍ទាំងពីរនេះ វាក៏មានកន្លែងមួយចំនួន ដែលស្មេរ ទាំងពីររូបនេះបាននិពន្ធឡើងដែរមានសភាពខុសគ្នាដែរ។ 

ជាការសន្និដ្ឋានឡើងវិញ យើងអាចវាយតម្លៃបានថាអក្សរសិល្ប៍ទាំងពីរនេះ បាននិពន្ធឡើងដោយក្នុង គោលបំណងចង់លុបបំបាត់ផ្នត់គំនិតចាស់ៗបុរាណដូចជា «នំមិនធំជាងនាឡិ»។ រឿងទំុទាវ និងរឿងរ៉ូមីអូ និងជូលីអែត បាននិយាយរៀបរាប់ អំពីសេចក្តីស្នេហាដ៏ផ្អែមល្ហែម ប៉ុន្តែដោយសារតែវណ្ណៈ គំុនំគម់គួន បញ្ហា គ្រួសារ និងភាពលោភលន់ បាននាំឲ្យ សេចក្តីស្នេហាដ៏សែនផ្អែមល្ហែមមួយនោះ កែប្រែទៅជា សេចក្តីស្នេហាមួយ ដ៏សែនជូចត់ និងរហូតទៅដល់ការបាត់បង់ ជីវិតថែមទៀតផង។ អ្វីដែលសំខាន់ជាងនេះទៅទៀត យើងអាច សង្គេតឃើញថាកវីទាំងពីររូបនេះហាក់បីដូចជា មានគំនិតប្រហាក់ប្រហែលនឹងគ្នា ដែលជាហេតុនាំឲ្យមា​នការ ប្រៀប​​ធៀបមួយនេះ។ ជារការពិតណាស់អក្សរសិល្ប៍ទាំងពីរនេះ បានតាក់តែងឡើងដោយមានចំណុចមួយចំនួន ដូចគ្នាដូចជាសេចក្តីស្នេហាទៅក្នុងរឿងទាំងពីរនេះ គឺជាសេចក្តីស្នេហាមួយដ៏ភ្លើតភ្លើនគ្រាន់ឃើញភ្លាម​​ ក៏ ស្រលាញ់ភ្លែត។ មិនត្រឹមតែប៉ុណ្ណោះបញ្ហាគ្រួសារ គឺជាបញ្ហាដ៏ចំបងមួយដែល ដែលបានធ្វើការប៉ះពាល់ដល់ សេចក្តីសេ្នហា របស់តួអង្គទាំងបួនរូបនេះ។ ម្យា៉ងវិញទៀត​ តូអង្គស្រីនៅក្នុងរឿងទាំងពីរនេះ ត្រូវបានមានការ បង្ខិតបង្ខំពីឪពុកម្តាយឲ្យទៅរៀបការជាមួយមនុស្ស ដែលខ្លួនមិនបានស្រឡាញ់។ ជាអវសាន តូអង្គទាំងបួន រូបនេះ ត្រូវបានបាត់បង់ជីវិតយ៉ាងអនោចអធមនៅទីបញ្ចប់ទៅវិញ។ ផ្ទុយទៅវិញ យើងក៏បានឃើញថា មាន ចំណុច មួយចំនួនដែលមានលក្ខណខុសគ្នា គឺសេចក្តីសេ្នហារបស់ទំុ និងទាវគឺជាសេចក្តីសេ្នហាមួយដែលមិនបាន មានការ លួចលាក់ពីឪពុកម្តាយនោះទេ។ ផ្ទុយទៅវិញសេចក្តីស្នេហារបស់ រ៉ូមីអូ និងជូលីអែតវិញ គឺជាសេចក្តី សេ្នហាមួយដែលមានការលួចលាក់ពីឪពុកម្តាយ។

ផ្អែកទៅលើការប្រៀបធៀបខាងលើ យើងអាចសន្និដ្ឆានបានថាអក្សរសិល្ប៍ទាំងពីរនេះ មានលក្ខណដូច គ្នាជាច្រើនជាង ចំណុចលក្ខណខុសគ្នា។ អក្សរសិល្ប៍ទាំងពីរនេះ មានលក្ខណដូចគ្នាបូករួមទាំងអត្ថន័យ​ អត្ថរូប និង អត្ថរស។ ឆ្លងទៅតាមការប្រៀបធៀបខាងលើ វាអាចឆ្លុះបញ្ចាំងបានថា រឿងទាំងពីរនេះដែលបានតាក់តែង និងនិពន្ធឡើងដោយ  ព្រះបទុមស្ថេរ (ថេរៈ) សោម «ភិក្ខុសោម» ​និងលោក William Shakespear ក្នុងគោល បំណងតែមួយគឺ ចង់ផ្លាស់ប្តូរផ្នត់គំនិតចាស់ៗបុរាណដូចដែលបានពោលថា «នំមិនធំជាងនាឡិ»។ អាស្រ័យ ហេតុ នេះហើយ បានជាកវីទាំងពីររូបនេះ ខិតខំតាក់តែងអក្សរសិល្ប៍ ដែលទាក់ទងទៅនឹង សេចក្តីស្នេហា ដើម្បីឆ្លុះ បញ្ចាំង និងជាដំណោះស្រាយ ដែលសង្ឃឹមថាអាចនឹងកែប្រែចិត្តមនុស្សបាន។ ជាការពិតណាស់ ឪពុកម្តាយមួយចំនួនធំ បានយល់ច្បាស់នូវរឿងមួយនេះ ក៏ចាប់ផ្តើមបើកសិទ្ធឲ្យ កុលបុត្រ កុលធីតារបស់ខ្លួន ជាអ្នកមានសិទ្ធ ក្នុងការរើសគូរស្រករសម្រាប់ខ្លួន។ 

ជាចុងក្រោយ យើងជាកូនចៅជំនាន់ក្រោយ គួរគប្បីស្វែងយល់បន្ថែមឲ្យបានសីុជម្រៅនូវ  អក្សរ សិល្ប៍នីមួយៗ មិនថាអក្សរសិល្ប៍ជាតិ ឫក៏អក្សរសិល្ប៍បរទេសនោះទេ គឺសុតតែមានប្រយោជន៏ និងផ្តល់ចំណេះ ដឹងដល់យើងគ្រប់ៗរូប។ តួយ៉ាង ដូចជារឿងទាំងពីរនេះ បានឆ្លុះបញ្ចាំងឲ្យយើងបានឃើញថា វាគឺជាដំណោះ ស្រាយមួយដែលបានដោះស្រាយបញ្ហាដ៏អយុត្តិធម៍មួយនេះសម្រាប់យើងដែលជា កូនចៅមិនអាចមានសិទ្ធក្នុង ការជ្រើសរើសគូរស្រកររបស់ខ្លួន។ ដូចដែលលោកគ្រូរបស់ខ្ញំុ គាត់បាននិយាយថា «បើទំុទាវមិនបានស្លាប់ ក្នុងសម័យនេះទេ ទំុទាវសម័យនេះគ៏មិនរស់ដែរ»។

Pop Sonnet

William Shakespeare was an English playwright, poet, and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language. His many works are about life, love, death, revenge, grief, jealousy, murder, magic, and mystery. One of his famous plays was “Romeo and Juliet”, which was about tragedy mixed with comedy. Talking about his sonnet that we called the Shakespearean sonnet, is divided into three quatrains and rhyming couplets. ABAB is the first quatrain where the writers explain the theme or the main idea. The second quatrain, which is CDCD, is where the writers explain more about their theme or the main idea. For EFEF, is the third quatrain where writers should start to finish explaining their theme and start moving on to the conclusion part. GG is the Fourth quatrain that only has 2 lines. And in this last quatrain, the writers should write about the conclusion of the theme. In this day and age, people started to invent one cool thing which is called the “Pop sonnet”. Pop sonnets are just like Shakespearean sonnets but just take pop songs or hit songs to make it into a sonnet that follows the Shakespearean sonnet structure. So below is the assignment that I got from my English literacy teacher, which is to pick a song and make it into a pop sonnet. I chose the song from one of the famous artists named Shawn Mendes. The song is called Treat You Better.
